We took Henry and Delilah swinging again! They are too big now to share one seat but they sure did LOVE the swings. Henry tired to be Superman by sliding all the way to the front of the seat and putting his arms up and out like he was flying. It was cute but scary that he might fall out head-first. Then Stef took each of the kids down a small slide. Les made the comment "Now, Stefanie by herself" haha.
updating what the Poe's are doing to keep busy...and what we are experiencing as time passes with Henry and Emily!!

Swinging
Camping trip to Idaho
We made it there and back in one piece. We drove through the night both ways. Its just easier with Henry because he is used to sleeping at night and then his routine isn't thrown all the way off. We had a good trip. We went camping at Alturas Lake. Amanda came to meet us and spend one night with us. Amanda and I got in the canoe and it took til the end to figure out how to work it :) We didn't dump it, which everyone thought we would! Karen, Aunti I, Henry and I all went down the river in the canoe but we ended up lifting the canoe over fallen trees more than we were in it and we also dumped it and all went in; Henry to his neck. Brad and I (along with other family members) fished in the lake and at 4th of July Creek. We caught a few fish but they were too small to keep so we just threw them back. We stopped at Easley Hot springs to shower and swim. We got the kids in the water too! It was fun watching them play. Delilah was about to fall asleep in her little floaty. Both kids kicked in the water.
Then we headed back to Twin Falls, stopped in Shoshone for some ice cream cones and then took a day to relax; and unpack everything. Brad, Les and Josh went shooting Thursday evening. Stefanie and I went to a movie, Killers, while Grandma Poe watched the grandkids. She had to change 4 poopy diapers in less than 2 hours. We had some drama but everything turned out ok. Brad and Les played golf in the Vandal Pigout, they didn't win. Karen and I brought the kids down but we didnt' get there in time for dinner.
Delilah and Henry had a great time together! They played together all the time. They ate watermellon and cantaloupe, dough gobbies and pancakes all in the mountains. It was fun watching them play together. Delilah turns 1 in a few weeks!!! Its crazy how fast the year has gone.
We got back home about 2:30am. Wow does it cut off time when there is no traffic in Sacramento and going over Donner pass. Brad got some stress relief before going back to work to hit it hard for selling and getting things ready for the football season. Its just around the corner. Damn! College football starts again! Oh the nights without football :) Brad and Henry will watch football together. I will watch it too but not to the extent Brad does.

Okay...its been awhile again...
Lets see, what have the Poe's been up to these past few weeks.
Brad's friend Tom Whitworth came to visit for a few days all the way from Kentucky. We went to the beach, Pebble Beach Golf Course-just to look around not to play, we went hiking up this trail-totally kicked Brad & I's butts!!, Henry and Tom didn't seem to have a tough time with the incline! We also played washoes in the backyard and sat around the firepit and made 'smores. All-in-all we had a great visit with Tom. He hadn't seen Henry since Henry was 3 months old...boy had Henry changed!
Henry now has 5 teeth. His left front tooth came in on th 1st of July. He is growing up so fast! Today he is 10 months old. I just can't believe how fast this year has gone and how much he has changed! I know, I know its only going to get faster and he is only going to change more and more...but I am still having fun with him! He is starting to say Mama Dada to each of us...so that is exciting. He definitely says Dada more. He also gets so excited when Daddy gets home. I say to Henry...Daddy's home...and Henry races on all fours to the garage door where he sees Daddy walking through the door! AHHH the joys of parenthood.
We traveled up to Santa Rosa for the 4th of July to spend time with Uncle Dave and Aunt MA. We were in the Sanoma Parade driving Brad's Grandpa Poe's '41 Chevy....it is new painted its original color-Two tone green. We, Brad drove, Henry and I and Karen all rode in the car...and boy oh boy was it hot!!! Not only was it in the 90's outside but inside the car all of us were sweating out pounds! It was hot!! Definitely take air conditioning for granted! But we had fun waving to people in the parade and everyone said "look at the baby!" Henry waved (with help from Mama) and people smiled and waved back. Lots of pictures were taken of the car and it was fun. Then we parked the car and went to find Les and Dave in the Hometown Band. Les was playing Brad's (used to be his) old trombone and Dave played the French Horn. We had fun watching them play and making fun of Les...he said his lips were bruised :)
Then we headed back to The Poe Ranch grilled up some food and then we headed back down to Sanoma to watch the fireworks. We were a little nervous about the fireworks and Henry, wondering if he was going to cry or like them. We were lucky! Henry stayed awake until almost 10 pm to watch the fireworks. We were just far enough away that the loud booms didn't scare him and he watched them for about 10 minutes and then got all warm and cuddly with Mama and fell asleep while we watched the rest of the fireworks. It was a good trip, nice to spend it with family and Red didn't go crazy with all the fireworks because he stayed at The Poe Ranch and listened to country music...just in case he could hear the bangs and booms of the fireworks. Red is not a fan of the 4th of July.
Our next adventure is a trip to Idaho to go camping with Grandma and Grandpa Poe, Aunt Stefanie, Uncle Josh, Cousins Delilah, Sarah, Alexis, Aunt Iris and Great-Grandma and Grandpa Champlin. We are headed to Alterus Lake to fish, camp, go four-wheeling, possibly canoeing, and just enjoy being out in the wilderness. It should be a fun trip! We are very excited! Will post pictures of that adventure when we get back!
